Nuke power?

You all know about my conservative views. I am not sure that any position on nuclear energy falls to either side. We need various sources of energy in this country, there is no doubt about it, but I believe that nuclear is an uncontrollable beast that we do not know enough about to use. This source of energy can quickly...

Unbiased News?

I’ve been sitting around for a time wondering what I can complain about. I have not listened to the talking heads from any network for several months and only tried to find actual world news presented in an unbiased fashion. It is virtually impossible to achieve this goal. I do however, watch CNBC in order to...

Pick Your Reason For Why You Vote Democrat

I am not sure who wrote this but it rings true with me. 10. I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies’ profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn’t. 9. I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending...

Jim Wallis Talks Faith’s Role In Politics, Gay Marriage And Immigration

June 25, 2016 · Leave a Comment

NEW YORK — A little over a year ago, during some of the most heated moments of the presidential election, the Rev. Jim Wallis went on a three-month sabbatical. The president and founder of Sojourners magazine and the progressive Christian organization of the same name, Wallis is one of the most politically active religious leaders in Washington, D.C., a familiar figure on Capitol Hill who has spent decades lobbying politicians from a liberal evangelical perspective on poverty issues. More recently, he has been a key member of influential Christian groups in the Beltway pushing for immigration... [Read the full story]

Did I really elect the President

Did I really elect the President

July 16, 2014 · 2 Comments

Now I personally was not very politically minded in the past, but once I started researching things my logical side kept tugging at me saying “this just is not right”.  What I am talking about is the election of the President and Vice President and how I feel that my individual vote does not always count. According to the United States Constitution, a presidential election is to be held once every fourth year and the election process starts long before Election Day. Candidates first begin to raise money and campaign at least one year in advance of the election. In order to officially represent... [Read the full story]

Prevent Fraud When Writing

March 17, 2014 · Leave a Comment

Did you know that anything you write with a normal pen can be used for fraud? Mostly the fraud is used when writing a check. This fraud called “Check Washing” is a growing form of fraud. The reason it is called “Check Washing” is because criminals take your check, generally out of your mail box, and put your check into chemicals to wash off what you have written leaving your signature then make the check out to them self and cash your check. In 2006 the government said this was an $800,000,000.00 fraud and in 3 year this amount would double. The reason it because it is... [Read the full story]
