On October 8, 2009, the Conference report of the the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010 which states, “Increase in Basic Pay- Effective on January 1, 2010, the rates of monthly basic pay for members of the uniformed services are increased by 3.4 percent.” was agreed to in the U.S. House of Representatives.
