If you look at all the pie charts they all basically say the same thing for religions in America. Around 80% of Americans are christians which are made of Protestants, Catholics, Baptists, Assembly of God, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Methodist, Lutherans, Evangelicals, and maybe a few others that basically have something in common which is Jesus Christ.
Now I am not going to tell you my religious views that is not the point of this. What I would like to talk about is the news and social media are reporting. For the last few years everyone has heard “You can’t say Merry Christmas”. Currently it is “Trump: ‘We are going to say Merry Christmes Again'”. In the past 8 years others were saying “You must only say “Happy Holidays as not to offend the Muslins or Jews.” Then currently I see this: Priest nixes Nativity scene to avoid offending Muslims. Another is “Indiana town removes cross from Christmas tree after ACLU lawsuit” and what about this one “Texas School Staffer Forced To Take Down ‘Charlie Brown Christmas’ Decorations” One newpaper wrote “Christmas is banned: it offends muslims”. And wait homeowner associations are getting into the act with, “Might offend non-Christians? Man told to remove Christmas display”. How about this one, “Obama Ruins The Holidays… Christmas Lights To Be Banned To Avoid Offending Muslims”. ok maybe they just want more regulations with, “Obama administration to regulate Christmas lights”.
Well what I will say is to all this is:
Stop being so offended! I truely mean it. Think about it, if less poeople would stop pushing their own agenda on others and stop claiming to be offended then the whole world would be a lot better off. How many times have you seen something like, say a Chirstmas tree in the winter time with snow falling down around it and children playing in the snow and thought “How pretty”. Your first impression is “How Pretty” then later someone points out there is an angel on top of the tree and tells you that you should be offened. Now how does that make you FEEL.
So in Closing I will say:
Wishing you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukkah or Santa Joy. May your world be filled with warmth and good cheer this wonderful season, and throughout the year! Wishing your Christmas be filled with peace and love. Merry Xmas.
