For the Gaming Car Lovers: Mercedes Benz SCL600

| I wanted to post a series of pictures I found of what is described as the newest Mercedes Benz, the SCL600. It is a very modern car with “No steering wheel, you drive it with a joystick. No pedals either.”

This was not a new production model Mercedes Benz. It was described as a “concept study” and was displayed at the Paris Motor Show in 1996 during the reign of DaimlerChrysler.
You drive this car with a joystick. Do you think that you can drive with a joystick?
Your kids and grandkids can. The influence of video games in our lives has really arrived and been around for over 10 years now, wouldn’t you say?
But there is more !
SCARY THOUGHT:
NOW a Child can STEAL your car “AND DRIVE IT BETTER THAN YOU CAN!”

I couldn’t imagine myself driving a car using a joystick. Perhaps, Mercedes Benz might as well come up with their “flying cars” model as joysticks are more associated with airplanes and flying machines. Nevertheless, when these “joystick” cars would began rolling down the production line, who can resist the excitement of driving a car using joystick. I guess navigation would be pretty much better except that one would probably feel that it’s more of the vehicle and its computer that is doing most of the driving than you. Just speculations here. Thank you Lady Kathleen for your post and most of all the humor that you put into your writing makes my reading and posting most enjoyable. Keep it up!
