Walmart doesn’t gve their workers fair healthcare, they dont give women the opportunity to ‘work up the ladder’ because they believe that women arent worth the extra pay. They dont believe in unions because if they allow their workers to be a part of a union, they will have to pay them more and give them a better health care system AND allow them to work overtime! Walmart is a huge monopoly that the government is looking over and should be SHUT DOWN! I would rather shop at small businesses in USA than buy a cheap toy from Walmart (which is only made China and other foreign countries).

I don’t believe this is a fair statement. Why should Walmart run the government? They would have no products to sell to the people. We don’t “choose” to give money to the government (other than we do choose to live here) the government takes it from us. So what strategies would they have to offer our government to improve the economy? After all, Walmart is the industry giant it is today because of the choices we have all made, to buy cheaper, lower quality stuff. In actuality, it is hurting the US by creating a huge profit for other countries, instead of keeping the money local.

I love this post. My Uncle is a district manager at Wal-mart. His daughter is a supervisor at another Wal-Mart. And my grandparent owns stock in Wal-Mart. I guess their future is looking bright.
